FAQs

If you’re unsure about anything, this page covers the questions clients often ask before getting started.

Got Questions? You’re not alone.

Below are answers to some of the most common questions clients ask before working with me — from pricing and tax deadlines to how we’ll communicate. If you’re unsure about anything, I’m always happy to explain things in plain English.

Our core service is ongoing monthly bookkeeping, keeping your financial records accurate, organised and up to date. Alongside this, we offer VAT returns, payroll, self-assessment tax returns, year-end and compliance support, and software setup (Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage). We also help with bookkeeping catch-up and clean-up, and can support with invoicing and payment management if needed.

We specialise in working with creative professionals, consultants, and landlords, though we’re happy to support other small business owners too.

We primarily work remotely, but as part of our onboarding and compliance process, we meet all new clients either in person or by video call. This also allows us to verify identity documents in line with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, so we’ll need to see two forms of ID, including one showing your current address. We’re based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, and can meet locally if that’s easier.

This depends on your situation, but generally you’ll need income records such as invoices, payslips and bank statements, along with expense receipts, mileage logs, and any letters from HMRC. We’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed based on your business or personal circumstances.

If you feel overlooked, overwhelmed, or unsure what you’re getting, it might be time for a change. We offer a more personal, responsive approach, with clear communication, fixed fees, and regular support throughout the year.

Prices vary depending on the size of your business and the services you need. We offer clear, fixed-fee packages, and a free discovery call will help us work out what’s right for you.

Yes. Whether you’re a few months behind or considerably further back than that, we can help you get everything up to date and compliant, without any judgement.

Once you approve the proposal, we’ll begin the onboarding process. This includes identity checks (AML), setting up any authorisations needed, gathering the relevant documents, and agreeing how we’ll communicate going forward.

You can book a free discovery call or get in touch using the contact details on the site, and we’ll talk you through what’s needed and how we can work together.
